Morayfield, Queensland, August 1, 2024
The Health Hub Morayfield’s Minor Accident and Illness Centre is proud to announce it has become part of the Federal Governments Medicare Urgent Care Clinic (UCC) Program, effective today August 1st, 2024 under a two year funding arrangement with Brisbane North Primary Health Network and the Federal Government.
This announcement supports our ongoing commitment to providing accessible, high-quality healthcare to residents of Morayfield, Caboolture and the greater North Moreton Bay community. Patients can continue to expect exceptional service and care from the clinic which recommenced operations in April 2023 thanks to a funding commitment made at the last Federal election.
The Morayfield UCC remains dedicated to offering timely, bulk-billed urgent care services for people close to where they live. This helps to relieve demand on hospital emergency departments with over 60% of patients surveyed saying that had the clinic not been open then they would have attended a Hospital Emergency department . Our experienced team of doctors, nurse practitioners and practice nurses are available to address non-life-threatening minor illnesses and injuries, ensuring patients receive immediate and appropriate care without incurring out-of-pocket expenses. The clinic is open 7 days a week from 8 am to 8 pm, 365 days per year.
