Dr. Thein graduated with an MBBS from the University of Medicine 1 in Yangon, Myanmar, in 2015. She moved to the UK in 2017, where she obtained her MRCGP and Specialist GP Registration in 2023.
With over seven years of diverse medical experience in the UK, Dr. Thein has worked across various departments, including general and acute medicine, obstetrics and gynaecology, psychiatry, ENT, emergency medicine, and general practice. Her extensive training also includes comprehensive care for both paediatric and geriatric populations, which she delivered during her foundation and specialist GP training at West Suffolk Hospital, an affiliated teaching hospital of the University of Cambridge.
Dr. Thein is passionate about providing compassionate, patient-centred care to individuals of all ages. She has particular interests in women’s health, paediatric care, elderly medicine, and mental health. Her approach emphasizes holistic patient care and long-term well-being, ensuring the highest standards of treatment.
Dr. Thein has recently relocated to the Moreton Bay area, where she is committed to serving the local community as a GP.
