Dr Vickers has experience across general practice, emergency medicine, inpatient general medicine, procedural obstetrics/ gynaecology, and sexual and reproductive health.
Over many years, Dr Vickers has appeared in print, radio, TV, and online media as an advocate for a range of causes. These include advocating for environmental protection, improving self-determination of First Nations communities, reducing indoor and outdoor air pollution, improving access to abortion services, implementing safe working hours for healthcare workers, and reducing Covid transmission in schools.
Dr Vickers has a special interest in neurodiversity and reproductive health, particularly for women and gender diverse patients with ADHD and Autism. Dr Vickers provides neurodiverse and gender diverse affirming contraception and medical abortion, and management of conditions such as PCOS, endometriosis, menopause, PMDD and perinatal concerns.
Away from work, Dr Vickers spends time with his family, is a casual gamer and has a Border Collie/Kelpie. He is not bothered if his patients pet interrupts a video consult, and occasionally encourages it.
